Positionality Statement
I am an able-bodied, queer, non-binary, White settler of Scottish, English and Welsh heritage; currently living, working, and learning on the unceded lands of the Wurundjeri and Wadawurrung People of the Kulin Nation. I acknowledge that true sovereignty was never ceded. I recognise my positionality within an ongoing settler-colonial context, acknowledging the historical and systemic privileges I benefit from as a direct result of dispossession. I am committed to continuous unlearning, active allyship, and centering the voices, perspectives, and custodianship of First Nations Peoples and Country in my daily and professional life.

SKILLS AND APPROACHES
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) - Are you feeling stuck or lost in your direction and unsure what to do? Lets identify and explore your values as a way to get you back to thriving
Motivational Interviewing (MI) - A gentle, person-centered approach to exploring your current situation whilst developing skills to reach your full potential.
Somatic stabilisation / body-oriented therapy - For those who are seeking trauma-processing services, this practice is a wonderful way of utilising the power already within our bodies.
Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) - A highly effective treatment for trauma and sleep disturbances - a current gold-standard for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). It can be used in a relational and gentle manner and also for the treatment of addictive behaviours. EMDR can enable a return a sense of aliveness to the body.
Specific Drug & Alcohol reduction, cessation and harm reduction - This is a specialist area and you deserve an experienced person to guide you safely through any reduction / cessation

Specialised Supportive Clinical Management (SSCM) - For disordered eating or difficulty with eating. Collaborative approach alongside your preferred Dietician, GP or similar professional.

Parts work (IFS) - An incredibly respectful and gentle approach to getting to know ourselves and those parts that may be holding traumatic memories, a holistic approach that can ease our inner battles or conflicts
“Your body doesn’t exist just to prove something to someone else.”
